Education Education
Time Warner Cable believes our children hold the hope for our future. That is why we took a lead role in 1989, creating the widely acclaimed Cable in the Classroom program. TWC provides free monthly cable, information and teacher training tools to more than 370 schools in the communities that we serve. To assist educators in locating the designated educational programming offered on cable television, we also provide a free monthly issue of Access Learning magazine as well as TWC Education Connection, our monthly online guide to Cable in the Classroom broadband programming. TWC also provides each accredited K-12 public and private school in its service area a free cable modem and free access to Road Runner and the Internet for educational purposes.

Control Your TV
Control Your TV

The cable industry takes seriously concerns about some of the content available on television today and about the impact of media, especially its effect on children. The programs on television today are not always appropriate for children. "Control Your TV" tries to help parents filter out the programs that children should not be watching. With family-oriented programs and the tools that are provided by the cable industry, parents can reduce the number of unacceptable programs their children watch.
